Adria Mobil, a manufacturer of touring caravans and motor homes, has acquired a 80% stake in Spanish company Sun Roller, a leading European mobile home producer
Adria Mobil, a manufacturer of touring caravans and motor homes, has acquired a 80% stake in Spanish company Sun Roller, a leading European mobile home producer, in a deal worth EUR 10m, the Novo mesto-based group said in a press release on Tuesday, 7 August.
Adria Mobil signed the acquisition contract in Barcelona last Friday, 10 August, in what it labelled an important strategic decision both in terms of production and marketing.
According to the Slovenian company, Sun Roller produces about 5,000 mobile homes and caravans a year, while its broad sales network in some of the key European markets is complimentary with the marketing network of Adria Mobil.
Through the acquisition, the company hopes to expand on the Spanish, Italian and French markets, which are major markets for Sun Roller, while it will also acquire Sun Roller's plant in Slovenia, which is situated in Kanizarica near the southeastern town of Crnomelj.
Moreover, the acquisition will bring Adria Mobil Group close to a 8% share on the European caravan market, which last year posted sales of more than 209,000 caravans and motor homes, Adria Mobil says in its press release.
The company also hopes to near one of its key strategic goals, which is to become one of the three leading producers on the market.
With the acquisition, the brand Sun Roller will join Adria, Adriatik and Fleetwood brands, which are marketed by Adria Mobil. The group brings together Adria Plus, Podgorje Sentjernej, Adria More, Adria Star, Adria Denmark, Adria Switzerland, Fleetwood Caravans and Adria Concessionaires UK.
The latest acquisition will be finalised in a month, while a detailed presentation of Sun Roller's integration into the group will be given in September, according to Adria Mobil.
