Awards for the most innovative products were presented by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) to five companies on Wednesday, 8 December. Among 38 finalists, a 5-member commission chose AET Tolmin, GOAP Sistemi, Gorenje, INO Brezicce, and Lek as the winners.
AET Tolmin - a company developing ignition systems, components for small engines, diesel engines and domestic appliances - was awarded for its integrated starter generator and torque booster.
GOAP Sistem - a company dealing in computer engineering and process automation - was awarded for having developed a new generation of control devices for HVAC systems of boats.
Home appliances manufacturer Gorenje was awarded for its new line of built-in ovens.
INO Brezice, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, was awarded for its vibrational two-row subsoiler with a pneumatic fertilizer device, and Ljubljana-based pharmaceutical company Lek for its patentable pharmaceutical forms of the drug Amoksiklav.
The candidates for the awards were proposed by 12 regional chambers. The CCIS has been awarding the most innovative products on an annual basis since 1996.
