Iskra Mehanizmi was recently selected as a country representative by the European Business Awards, which recognises organisations that exhibit innovation, business excellence and sustainability.

Iskra Mehanizmi, from Lipnica near Kropa in the northwest of Slovenia, is a supplier with 50 years of tradition working in the automotive industry, mechatronics, counter technology and electric appliances.
Of the companies three main product areas, the Automotive program represents an important focus area for the future, supplying metal stamping, plastic moulding and small motor-based actuators and assemblies to customers including Continental Automotive Systems, Zizala ZKW, Hella, Tyco Electronics and others.
The company is also recognised as one of the leading manufacturers of electromechanical hour meters and pulse counters worldwide, supplying sectors like medical, marine, vehicles, gaming, and vending, in markets from the USA, Germany and Italy to Turkey and Japan.
Co-operation with Philips which began back in 1994 has grown from assembly producer to OEM supplier, providing not only manufacturing but also product and process development in domestic appliances, personal care and health products and more.
